Salty Dog Publishing is a Santa Barbara design company that creates greeting + notecards, paper goods + other seaworthy products.
Our paper goods are carefully + expertly printed using 100% recycled FSC certified papers. We only use veggie-based inks and our kraft envelopes are constructed from 100% post consumer waste.
Our commitment to the environment does not stop with our eco-friendly printing methods, packaging, or day-to-day operations. Salty Dog is proud to be a member of 1% For the Planet. As a member we donate 1% of our sales to a network of environmental organizations we believe in (member #1524).
Salty Dog is based in Santa Barbara, California but our goods are sold nationwide and now in Canada.
Our brand name is old nautical slang for an experienced sailor who has spent much of his life aboard a ship at sea. A Salty Dog is often given increased credibility by ship mates in matters pertaining to ship-board life + duties. We like to think of a Salty Dog as a term applied to someone in any walk of life, industry, or activity who has earned this credibility from others.
